Boil the shit out of it until it’s mushy, then let it cool in the water. Soak it overnight first if you’re good at planning ahead. The baking soda will speed up the soaking/cooking a bit.

Step 2Together with the cooked chickpeas, blend in a food processor. Garlic and seasonings are to taste, cumin is optional.
Step 3
Step 3Add in the tahini. Blend. Add water until desired texture. Keep in mind it’ll firm up a bit as it sits in the fridge.
